Connecticut Updates
CT Paid Leave/FMLA Notification Requirements Start July 1, 2022
Beginning July 1, 2022, employers must provide notice to employees regarding:
Employee rights regarding Connecticut FMLA;
Employee opportunities to file for wage replacement from the Connecticut Paid Leave Authority;
The prohibition on retaliation for interfering with or denying rights under the Connecticut FMLA; and
Employee rights to file a complaint.
The notice must be provided to new employees on their date of hire. All existing employees must receive a copy of the notice on or before July 1, 2023. The notice must be distributed to all employees annually.
PCORI Due
PCORI is a fee that insurers or sponsors of self-insured health plans pay annually to fund the federal Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) trust fund. Self-insured employers are required to pay the PCORI form via Form 720 directly to the IRS.
The PCORI fee applies to health plans for the preceding calendar year.
Ask a Boss: Can employees discuss wages at work?
